(1). Mild Detergent Powder Solution - Mix in one teaspoon of mild detergent powder solution into a cup of luke-warm water. (2). An Ammonia Solution - Mix in one tablespoon of ammonia into 1/2 cup of warm water. (Avoid using a stronger ammonia solution for wool carpet). (3). Vinegar Solution - Mix in 1/3 cup of household white vinegar into 2/3 cup of water. (4). Enzyme Detergent - This is commercial enzyme detergent like 'Nature's Miracle'. (5). Dry Cleaning Solvent - This is a commercial dry spotter like 'Energine'. RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE a. Test your solution on an inconspicuous area. Attack the stain working from the outer edge in toward the center. Blot but don't rub. b. Your final step is to take water and gently rinse the area. Absorb all the remaining moisture using absorbent towels. c. After you're finished lay a 1/2" pad of some type of white, absorbent paper towels down on the affected area. Weight the down using some type of flat, heavy object. d. Change the absorbent pad until there is a transfer of the spilled substance or until the residue can no longer be seen on your absorbent pad. Chewing Gum - Use a blunt knife to remove the excess. Apply some Dry Cleaning Solvent and follow by blotting. Follow that by adding a Detergent solution, then rinse and blot dry. Blood - Use a blunt knife to remove any excess. Apply a cool detergent solution, then blot. If the stain is still there, apply a bit of cool ammonia solution and then blot. If the stain remains, then apply an Ammonia solution followed by a Vinegar solution. Rinse. Blot dry. Wax - Remove the excess using a blunt knife. Apply a Dry Cleaning Solvent and follow it up with a Detergent solution. Rinse. Blot dry. To remove persistent was residue (only on nylon and carpet), lay some kind of white absorbent towel down onto the wax area. Put and iron on the 'low heat' setting and place it on the towel. Hold it there for 30 seconds and let it melt as well as absorb the wax. Move the towel wherever needed. CAUTION: If not done with great caution, this procedure can damage your carpet. Take extra care when using this method. Wine - Blot up excess spillage. Now apply a cool Detergent solution. If the stain is still there apply an Ammonia solution followed with a Vinegar solution.
